Clarinet and Janet

When I started this series in 2018 my sister Janet (66) who resides in the Southern USA asked if she could be one of my models. It has taken eight years but we were finally able to arrange a shoot. This is also the first time in my series that I was able to have session with brother and sister. Many of my models do not play the instrument that they are photographed with. Janet played clarinet in our high school orchestra. I thought our session might be a little weird but my sister handled the session like a pro.

History: According to Wikipedia the clarinet is a single reed instrument in the woodwind family. German instrument maker Johann Christopher Denner is generally credited with inventing the clarient around 1700. Famous clarinet musicians include Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Sydney Bechet, Woody Herman, Pete Fountain and Paquito D’Rivera
