French Horn and Fernanda

Fernanda (29) from Peru was introduced to me in April by my harpsicle model as a potential model for this series. It was a pleasure to have a model completely trust in my abilities to conduct a photo shoot after briefly meeting me twice for about 15 minutes.

I had two assistants for this shoot. First Mel Leon of Melanie Leon Studios helped my set up and prepare the shoot, then Joana Demiglio stepped in for the majority of the session. Also thanks to Chris Hess at Long and McQuade music store in Gravenhurst for arranging the French Horn rental.

A little history about the French horn. According to timetoast.com the first version of the French Horn arrived in 1545 as a non value hunting horn. In July 1814, inventors Heinrich Stoelzel and Friedrick bluhmel invented the first valued French Horn. The double French Horn which is seen in this series was designed circa 1900 by Fritz Kruspe.

Shot in studio, Barrie, Ontario, September 26, 2026.
